2026Roomi — long-term rental platform

The challenge
Long-term renting suffers from distrust: landlords know nothing about tenants, and tenants are unprotected on deposits and contracts. Official registration (e-ijara) is its own painful process.
What we built
We built a modular Django monolith — 12 bounded contexts: the trust engine, listings, booking, escrow payments, government integrations (e-ijara/e-mehmon), KYC and reviews. Map search runs on PostGIS; the Next.js web app and Flutter mobile app share one OpenAPI contract. The demo is live at roomi.uz over HTTPS.

Web + Flutter on one API — live demo at roomi.uz
“The Tenant Passport idea works: the landlord saw verified information about me and didn't demand a guarantor. Contract and payment stay on the platform — everything leaves a trail.”
